Five people executed in Zahedan, Zabul and Shiban prisons in Ahvaz. According to statistics, fourteen prisoners executed within three days.
Most of the prisoners executed in the last three days accused of drug possession, Baloch prisoners, and most of them were heads of families and had children.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, five people executed in Zahedan, Zabol, and Shiban prisons in Ahvaz on charges of drugs and murder.
One of the executed was 72 years old, and fourteen prisoners executed in the last three days.
At dawn on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, three Baloch prisoners named Hossein Gumshadzehi, Yusuf Kalbali, and another prisoner with an unknown identity executed in Zahedan Central Prison on drug-related charges.
Hossein Gumshadzehi, 72 years old, married and had 3 children, was from Zabul. In 2018, he arrested in connection with drugs in Zabul. About a month ago, he transferred from Zabel prison to Zahedan and his death sentence carried out.
The other executed prisoner was Yusuf Kalbali, 30 years old, married with three children. He is a native of Zahak city, arrested in 2021 and sentenced to death on charges related to drugs.
On the same day, a prisoner executed in Zabul prison. Masoud Ishaq Zahi, 30 years old, a native of Afghanistan, had two children. He arrested in 2021 in connection with drugs and sentenced to death.
At dawn on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. A prisoner named Mehdi Babli Bombai, from Behbahan, executed in Shiban prison in Ahvaz. He was charged with murder and sentenced to death.
Among the 14 executions, there were 5 Baloch people
It should be noted that on Monday, July 31, 2023, five prisoners in Zabul, Zahedan and Birjand prisons all executed on drug charges.
Prisoners executed in Zahedan Central Prison: Baidullah Gorgij, Shaheswar Shahriari (Pelangi), Saeed (Aref) Barahoui, Ali (Khan Mohammad Barahoui, Khodarahm Mohammadani) accused of narcotics.
