200 executions in less than three months/execution of two prisoners in Kerman prison
Including today’s executions, including two prisoners in Kerman, the dictatorial judiciary of Faqih province has executed 200 people in less than three months.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Sunday, June 18, 2023, two prisoners were executed in Kerman prison. Including these two executions in a total period of less than three months, at least 200 prisoners executed in Iranian prisons.
The names of these two prisoners were Fazl Ahmad Ghafran (Rukhshani) and Mohammad Sepahi. These two Baloch prisoners were among the accused related to drugs and sentenced to death for this charge.
Fazl Ahmad Ghafran (Rochshani) was 35 years old, married and had two children. In 2019, he arrested on drug charges and sentenced to death.
Mohammad Sepahi also married and the father of three children from Saravan. He arrested in Kerman in 2017 and sentenced to death by the Kerman Revolutionary Court.
Among the 200 prisoners executed since the beginning of the Iranian year 1402, there are three political prisoners: Majid Kazemi, Saleh Mirhashmi and Saeed Yaqoubi. These three prisoners were among the detainees of the national demonstration in Isfahan and their execution provoked public protests.
