Pouria Javaheri expressed concern after his case referred to the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj on charges of Moharebeh

According to the report of the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Sunday, August 13, 2023. According to Mustafa Ahmadian, the lawyer of Pouria Javaheri, his case filed on charges of ” corruption on earth (Moharebeh). This is through the intentional killing of a military personnel”, “membership in parties opposing the regime”. Also, “propaganda against the regime”. And “intentional assault of several military agents” referred to the first branch of Sanandaj Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Saeedi. By referring the case to the charge of ” Moharebeh “, there is concern regarding the death sentence in this case.

Pouria Javaheri, 31 years old, a worker, from Kamyaran, arrested on November 29, 2022, during the nationwide protests of the Iranian people in Kamyaran. After he summoned to the news headquarters of the Kamyaran Revolutionary Guards Intelligence Organization, he arrested and subjected to pressure and interrogation.

In a short call to his family, he informed about the physical torture in the detention center of the Sanandaj Guards Corps, and that one of his chest ribs broken because of the torture.

On Tuesday, January 10, 2023. The Chief Justice of Kurdistan Province announced that Pouria Javaheri accused of Moharebeh for killing a Basij member named Reza Azarbar. This was while his father announced that more than 50 people have testified that he was not in Kamyaran. And on the day of the incident but was in the village.

Poriya Javaheri deprived of the right to choose a lawyer during the interrogation.
