In the shadow of the crippling economic crisis caused by the looting of government leaders, the number of executions in the country is alarmingly high. This increasing wave of executions, which are mainly crimes related to drugs and murder, is directly related to the poverty and economic corruption that has engulfed the country.

The number of executions in the last year was the highest in the last 8 years. This statistic shows the intensification of the government’s violence, which instead of responding to the many economic and social challenges that people are facing, has resorted to executions.
While government leaders try to present the increase in executions as a solution to crime, especially drug trafficking, people believe that these punishments are not only not a deterrent, but also do not solve the root of the problems and are merely a tool for Suppression of public grievances and maintaining power is in the hands of the heads of the government.
