Three prisoners who were previously sentenced to death for “rape” were executed in Adel Abad prison in Shiraz.The Chief Justice of Fars Province announced in this regard. “Perpetrators of assault and rape against women in Drak Park, Sadra Road and Akbarabad Shiraz were identified and arrested in September of last year. The preliminary verdict and death sentence of these three people was issued after the trial in July of this year in the first branch of the criminal court of a province of Fars. “This case was reviewed and confirmed in the Supreme Court after the protest of the convicts.”

A Baloch prisoner was executed in Adel Abad prison in Shiraz.
According to Balochistan media, early Wednesday, December 21, 2022. The death sentence of a Baloch prisoner named Abdullah Shahozahi was executed in Adel Abad prison in Shiraz on drug charges.
Abdullah Shahozahi, 35 years old, the son of Abdul Samad, married with a young child and from Zahedan. He was arrested in Shiraz in 2020 on drug charges. He was sentenced to death in Zahedan Revolutionary Court.
According to this report, the day before the execution of the sentence, Abdullah’s family went to Shiraz for a last visit. But they had a car accident on the way and are currently hospitalized in Khatam Zahedan Hospital.They did not manage to meet their loved one for the last time.
Including these executions, since the beginning of the current Iranian year 1401, at least 515 people and since the beginning of this year 2022, 607 people have been executed, which is a shocking and unprecedented number. This is while many death sentences are carried out secretly and are not published or announced anywhere. Therefore, the actual number of executions is higher than this number.
