Iranian Human Rights Society, September 12, 2022. On Sunday, September 11, political prisoner Fariba Asadi was summoned to the Prosecutor’s Office of Evin Prison Branch 3, headed by Mohammad Reza Mohammadi, due to a new case opened against her. And the new accusations such as “insulting Khamenei and insulting holy things”, a temporary arrest warrant issued for her.
New false and invalid accusations
Meanwhile, Mrs. Fariba Asadi is spending her imprisonment in Evin prison due to her previous case. And these accusations and new false filings are fundamentally invalid.
According to some well-informed sources, the pretend of this filing was the protest of political prisoner Fariba Asadi against being handcuffed while being sent to the hospital and fighting with the assistant investigator in the hospital.
It is necessary to remember that the term of this political prisoner’s sentence will end in November of this year. This filing has no legal basis. It was done by the prosecutor’s office only to prevent his release.
A brief history of political prisoner Fariba Asadi
31-year-old Fariba Asadi was arrested on January 13, 2022, at her private home in Tehran and was transferred to Qarchak Varamin prison to endure her sentence. On December 12, 2021, a notice was sent to her to execute the prison sentence. And she was summoned to the the second branch of the execution of criminal sentences of the General Prosecutor’s Office and the Quds Revolutionary Court.
On October 2, 2021. Fariba Asadi sentenced to one year of penal servitude by the second branch of Shahriar Revolutionary Court for charge of propaganda against regime.
