Political prisoner Ali Younesi deprived medical services. He has been suffering from toothache for a long time. But the prison authorities refused to send him to the dentist.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society report, on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, the political prisoner Ali Younesi deprived of medical services in Evin prison. Despite the prison doctor’s prescription for surgery, they do not take him to the dentist, and thus they put him under pressure and torture.
Aida Younesi, the sister of this political prisoner and math elite, wrote on her page: “Dr. Evin said that Ali Younesi should go to the dentist for dental surgery. Ali has been told five times in the last few months that we will take you to the dentist. But they canceled every time at the last minute. Last time today. Their only goal is to hurt Ali. No matter what we say about your humbleness, it is still not enough.”
About two elite students, Amirhossein Moradi, and Ali Younesi:
Ali Younesi, a computer engineering student, and Amirhossein Moradi, a physics student, two elite students at Sharif University of Technology, arrested on April 10, 2020, by the intelligence agents without providing a court order. Their arrest was accompanied by beatings. These two students then transferred to solitary cell 209 of Evin prison.
On the evening of Friday, April 10, after searching the houses and without presenting a court order, the agents arrested these two student activists and severely beat them, so that during the attack of 12 IRGC agents on Ali Younesi’s house, they broke his forehead in a brutal beating.
Amirhossein Moradi, the silver medalist of the National Astronomy Olympiad in 2017, and Ali Younesi, the silver medalist of the National Astronomy Olympiad in 2016 and the gold medalist of the Astronomy Olympiad in 2017. Also, Ali Younesi has made Iran proud by winning the gold medal in the 12th World Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad held in China.
On Monday, November 22, 2021, Amnesty International, by publishing an open letter addressed to the Iranian judiciary, warned of the risk of execution of two elite students, Ali Younesi and Amirhossein Moradi, and demanded their immediate release.
Finally, on June 26, 2022, after 808 days of detention in closed cells and solitary cells of Evin prison, these two elite students transferred to Evin public prisons with heavy sentences of 16 years of imprisonment.
Ali Younesi along with his father MirYousef Younisi currently imprisoned in Evin prison. MirYousef Younesi arrested during the nationwide protests, and despite the passage of 7 months, he is still undecided.
