According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Monday, August 7, 2023. During the last two days, at least eight prisoners sentenced to death executed in Kerman, Central Karaj, Arak and Dezful prisons.
On Monday, August 7, 2023, two Baloch prisoners executed in Kerman prison on drug-related charges.
Abdul Ghaffar Shahiki (Hashim Zahi) and an Afghan citizen both accused of drug possession and were sentenced to death for this charge. There is no information about the name and details of the Afghan man.

Abdul Ghafar Shahiki was 38 years old and the father of two children. He arrested in 2021 in connection with drugs.
At least eight prisoners, executed within two days
On Sunday, August 6, 2023, ISNA news agency reported the execution of a prisoner in Dezful. This news agency announced without announcing the name of this prisoner that a prisoner executed on the charge of “corruption on earth (Moharebeh)” through armed robbery with cold weapons.
On the same day, two prisoners executed in Arak Central Prison on charges related to drugs. Arslan Kazemi, 32 years old and from Azna city, was one of these prisoners. The name and details of the prisoner not known.
In addition, the Iranian Human Rights Society reported that three prisoners executed on Sunday, August 6, 2023, in Karaj Central Prison (Karaj Penitentiary). The names of these three prisoners were Amir Jahangiri, Sajjad Nazari and Mohsen Sharafi.
These three prisoners were drug suspects and on the first day of August, the prison guards raided the 2nd hall of this prison and transferred these death row prisoners to solitary confinement.
