Eight more executions in Dastgerd prisons in Isfahan, Ardabil, Lakan Rasht and Khorramabad / at least 11 prisoners transferred for execution.
Eight other prisoners, most of whom were drug suspects, executed in Isfahan, Ardabil, Lakan, Rasht and Khorramabad prisons. In addition, 11 prisoners from Zanjan, Yazd, Arak and Ghezel Hesar central prisons transferred to solitary confinement for the execution of the death sentence.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, May 4, 2023. 7 more prisoners executed in Isfahan, Ardabil, Lakan Rasht and Khorramabad prisons.
A prisoner named Faizullah Kavandi executed on Sunday, April 30, 2023, on charges of murder, in Dastgerd prison in Isfahan.
At dawn on Thursday, May 4th, 43-year-old Habibullah Faghir Dadzehi (Sakhi), married with 4 children, from Zahedan, executed in Dastgerd prison of Isfahan on drug charges. He arrested on this charge in 2020 and sentenced to death.
On the same day, another Baloch prisoner named Edris Gorgij, born in 1992, married with 5 children, executed in Torbat Jam prison without informing his family. Edris Gorgij arrested two years ago in 2021 on drug charges.
In addition, in Ardabil Central Prison, Hamed Mousavi, 23 years old, from Ardabil, executed on charges of intentional murder.
A prisoner named Hamid Emami executed in Khorramabad prison on charges of murder.
Four prisoners also executed in Rasht’s Lakan prison
On the same day, four prisoners were also executed in Rasht’s Lakan prison on charges of murder and drug possession.
Jalaladdin Rahimian Azar, 23 years old, from Mahabad, accused of murder and executed for the same charge. There is no information about the names and details of other prisoners.
Regarding the prisoners transferred for execution, four men in Zanjan Central Prison on charges of narcotics. Three prisoners in Ghezel Hesar Prison on charges of narcotics, two prisoners in Yazd Central Prison. Two prisoners named Yusuf Mehrad and Seyed Sadrullah Fazeli Zare from Arak Prison. Accused of “Sab al-Nabi” (Insulting the Prophet of Islam) have been transferred to solitary cells to execute the death sentence.
In May 2023, we are witnessing a rapid increase in the execution of prisoners, especially Baloch prisoners, in Iranian prisons.
