During three days, at least eight people were executed in Gorgan, Qazvin, Urmia and Arak prisons
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, during three days of February 12, 13 and 14, 2023, at least eight people were executed in Gorgan, Qazvin, Urmia and Arak prisons. The executed prisoners were charged with murder, armed robbery and drug possession.
On Sunday, February 12, 2023, Siros Gholami was executed in Gorgan Central Prison. He was accused of murder. It is said that the issue of the lawsuit leading to the murder was financial issues.
Siros Gholami was arrested in 2019 and sentenced to death for murder.
On Monday, February 13, 2023, the death sentence of two prisoners was executed in Qazvin Central Prison.
Ahmed Samari and Behzad Alirezaei were accused of murder and sentenced to death for this charge. These two prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement on Saturday, February 11, 2023, to execute the death sentence.
February 14, 2023, two prisoners executed
On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, two prisoners were executed in the central prison of Urmia on charges of armed robbery and murder.
Milad Jajuei Khanik and Mohammad Ali Akhtari Kohlan were transferred to solitary confinement on Sunday, February 12, 2023, to execute the sentence.

These two prisoners were arrested in October 2018 on the charge of armed robbery from a gold shop in Urmia and were sentenced to death for the same charge.
On this same day, Tuesday 14th of February 2023, three prisoners were executed in Arak Central Prison on drug charges.
The names of the prisoners are not known yet. These three prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement on Monday, February 13 to execute the sentence.
Execution of at least eight citizens within three days is one of the common crimes in Iran.
