Political prisoner Hassan Abyat executed in Sepidar prison in Ahvaz
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, quoted by Al-Arabiya, on the morning of Monday, February 20, 2023. Political prisoner Hassan Abyat executed in Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz.
Hassan Abyat, born in 1978, from Hamidiyeh, Ahvaz, married and had one child. Hassan Abyat graduated from Payam Noor University in Sosangerd city. He arrested in January 2011 on charges of being a member of anti-regime groups.
He, who arrested along with a number of other Ahvaz citizens, Khaled Obidawi, Eidan Beit Sayah, Jassem Saeedi, Reza Obidawi and Jalil Naami, severely tortured by Kabul.
The intelligence interrogators forced confessions from him and his other casemates by resorting to torture and used them against them.
He then sentenced to death by Judge FarhadVand in 2012. The charges against him declared as Moharebeh “war against God and corruption in the world, establishment of organizations opposed to the Islamic Republic and communication with foreign countries and actions against security of the country” and he sentenced to death for these charges.
In July 2021, Hassan Abyat transferred from Shiban Ahvaz prison to Sepidar prison.
It should be noted that on February 14, 2023, six political prisoners from Ahwazi compatriots with the names:
Ali Mojdam, son of Saleh, Moein Khanfari, son of Sadegh, Mohammad Reza Moghadam, son of Mostafa, Seyed Salem Mousavi, son of Khalaf, Seyed Adnan Mousavi, son of Younes, Habib Daris, son of Abdul Amir, sentenced to death.
The death sentence of these political prisoners issued by Branch 4 of Ahvaz Revolutionary Court.
