Three prisoners were executed in the central prisons of Karaj and Rasht
Iranian Human Rights Society, Thursday, December 15, 2022, the death sentence of three prisoners was executed in the central prisons of Karaj and Rasht. Reza Tajik accused of drugs in Karaj Central Prison. And two prisoners named Hasan Amini and Amir Abbasi were executed in Rasht prison on charges of murder.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society. Reza Tajik was executed at dawn on Wednesday, December 14, in Karaj Central Prison.
An informed source about Tajik’s execution told the Iranian Human Rights Society. “Reza Tajik was born in 1989 and was the father of a 6-year-old daughter. He was infected with fungal disease, and they took him out of the cell under the pretext of treatment. But then they took him to the suite for execution.”
Iran’s human rights Society had previously announced the risk of his execution. Reza was in prison for a long time.
On the other hand, according to the report of Iran Human Rights Organization, on the morning of Thursday, December 15. Two prisoners named Hassan Amini and Amir Abbasi executed in Rasht prison on charges of murder.
The execution of none of these prisoners was not announced by official government sources and was carried out secretly.
Increasing the number of executions
An informed source had previously told the Iranian human rights Society about the speeding up of the execution process. “The regime has started executions to create an atmosphere of fear and terror. “They are executing people in all cities and some of these people were in prison for ten years.”
This source said: “It doesn’t matter whether a political prisoner is executed or ordinary prisoners, but all executions are for repression.” Many of them have been in prison for years under the pretext of drugs, but in reality, they have not committed a crime. As Navid said, the regime wants a neck for its rope.
Including the execution of these three prisoners, at least 491 people have been executed since the beginning of the Iranian year 1401 . This is while many death sentences are carried out secretly and are not published or announced anywhere. Therefore, the actual number of executions is higher than this number.
We remind you that the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran accused the Iranian government officials of launching a new campaign to execute prisoners.
