52 people executed in less than a month. Three prisoners executed Khorramabad and Dezful prisons
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, the death sentence of three prisoners accused of drugs and murder executed in Khorramabad and Dezful prisons.
These three male prisoners executed on August 13 and 16, 2023, in Khorramabad and Dezful prisons.
On Sunday, August 13, 2023, a male prisoner named Saeed Biranvand, 49 years old, was executed after 5 years of imprisonment in Khorramabad prison on charges of murder.
On the same day, another prisoner, whose name is not known, executed in Khorramabad prison on drug charges.
According to another report, on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, a prisoner executed in Dezful prison. His name was Ibrahim Moludpour, he arrested five years ago on drug charges and sentenced to death.
It should be noted that at least 52 prisoners have been executed in Iran’s prisons in less than a month. Most of the executed prisoners are drug suspects.
Iranian Human Rights Center has condemned the implementation of illegal death sentences. And calls for intervention of international organizations to stop crimes in Iran.
Including the execution of this prisoner, number of executions reached at least 496 people since the beginning of 2023.
