His crime is following up on the situation of his mother, who previously arrested and is currently in prison. Vosoghian lawyer informed that she convicted of engaging in anti-government propaganda. And sentenced to pay a cash fine of 15 million tomans. The revolutionary court of Golpayegan has acquitted Mohammad Mehdi Vosoghian of having connections with hostile countries and membership in anti-government groups.
On 22nd of November 2023, Mohammad Mehdi Vosoghian, a detainee held in Golpayegan prison, tried in the revolutionary court branch of this city. And released after a few days by paying a one billion Toman bail.
Mohammad Mahdi Vosoghian, 20 years old, is a second-year student in the field of “Artificial Intelligence” and the deputy secretary of the guild council of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. On September 11, he arrested at his father’s house by the agents of the Ministry of Intelligence.
Who is Mrs. Masoumeh Yavari ?
The mother of Mohammad Mahdi, Mrs. Masoumeh Yavari, sentenced to 13 years in prison. His mother, Mrs. Masoumeh Yavari, previously arrested on September 5th, 2023 and transferred to Isfahan Prison. On Thursday, December 10, 2023, Mrs. Yavari sentenced to 13 years in prison by a verdict issued by two judges named Mohammad Basaeri and Ghasem Sharifian from the Revolutionary Court of Golpayegan.

And suffers from illnesses such as heart disease, blocked arteries, and severe thyroid dysfunction. She also underwent a back disc surgery a few years ago. Her condition reported as unfavorable due to lack of medical and therapeutic care.
Masoumeh Yavari had previously spent 3 years in Evin, Gohardasht, and Gharchak Varamin prisons in 2009 for participating in the 2009 protests and having connections with the Mujahideen. Initially, she was charged with Moharebeh by the court. However, after a while, she was acquitted and then sentenced to 7 years in prison. And released from prison after serving 3 years.
