Public execution in Najaf Abad for the murder of a police agent
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, December 28, 2023. Government websites announced the public execution in Najaf Abad for the murder of a police agent after 19 years.
According to Imna website, Mohammadreza Hashemifar, deputy police commander of Isfahan province, announced the execution of a prisoner in public in Najaf Abad and wrote that he killed a police agent during an armed robbery in 2003.
Execution in public is one of the other methods of repression in Iran to curb people’s hatred of the dictatorship of Velayat al-Faqih. This type of execution carried out in cities and in front of people in order to intensify the atmosphere of terror in society.
