Three prisoners executed in Qom, Zabul and Zahedan prisons. A prisoner also taken to Zabul prison for execution
Report of the Iranian Human Rights Society, Sunday, July 30, 2023. Three prisoners, including one Afghan citizen, executed in Qom, Zabul and Zahedan prisons.
On July 30, 2023, a prisoner named Hamid Asgari Nia, from Arak, executed in Qom Central Prison on charges of rape.
He arrested on charges of rape and robbery and sentenced to death for these charges. He imprisoned in Saveh prison for a while and then transferred to Qom central prison.
On the same day, a Baloch prisoner, an Afghan citizen, named Mohammad Arbab, executed in Zabul prison on charges of drug possession.
Mohammad Arbab, 30 years old, father of one child, was from Nimroz city of Afghanistan and executed in Zabul prison without last meeting with his family. He arrested in 2021.
Three prisoners executed in Qom, Zabul and Zahedan
The third prisoner executed on this day is Bidullah Gergij, a drug-related accused who executed in Zahedan Central Prison.
Bidullah Gergij, 43 years old, from a village in Zahedan, arrested two years ago on drug-related charges. And sentenced to death by the Zahedan Revolutionary Court.
In addition to these three prisoners who were executed on the morning of Sunday, July 30, 2023, a prisoner named Asadullah Amini, a Baloch prisoner, a citizen of Afghanistan, from the city of Nimroz, Afghanistan, was transferred to the solitary cell of Zabul prison to execute the sentence.
He is 32 years old, married, and has children. His charge was related to drugs.
It should be noted that during the first four months of the Iranian year 1402, at least 270 prisoners and 63 Baloch prisoners executed in Iranian prisons.
