The guards of Evin prison brutally attacked Ward 8 of Evin prison and took the political prisoner Saeed Masouri and 8 other prisoners to an unknown place with handcuffs and shackles.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Evin prison guards brutally attacked the eight ward of Evin prison, political prisoners Saeed Masouri, Afshin Baimani. Hamze Sawari, Hossein Gachlu, Masoudreza Ebrahiminejad, Lughman Aminpour, at 9:00 am. Saman Yasin (Sayedi), Mohammad Shafeai and Mataleb Ahmadian handcuffed and bound and taken out of prison by beating and violence.
According to an informed source, “this barbaric attack was carried out on the order of Farzadi, the head of Evin prison.”Political prisoners not allowed to collect their belongings, and in this beating, half of their belongings destroyed and looted.”
According to the same source, the purpose of the prison authorities for these actions is not clear. But as the anniversary of the nationwide uprising of 2022 approaches, they intend to suppress the prisoners. Saeed Masouri, Afshin Baymani and Mataleb Ahmadian are among the oldest political prisoners in Iran. They have been imprisoned in Iranian prisons for 12 to 22 years. Political prisoner Saeed Masouri has not had a single day off during his 22 years in prison.

Political prisoner Afshin Baimani – Date of arrest: 5 Septamber 2000- Amount of sentence: Life imprisonment. Accusation: Moharebeh through support of Mujahideen organization. He has been in prison for more than 22 years.

Political prisoner Saeed Masouri – Date of arrest: 18 January 2001- Amount of sentence: Life imprisonment. Accusation: Moharebeh through membership in the People’s Mojahedin Organization. He has been in prison for 22 years.
Political prisoner Hamzeh Sawari – Date of arrest: 2 Septamber 2001-
Amount of sentence: Life imprisonment- Accusation: Moharebeh through supporting Al-Ahwaziyeh. He arrested at the age of 16 and has been in prison for 17 years now.
Political prisoner Motaleb Ahmadian – Date of arrest: 5 October 2010 – Amount of sentence: 32 years imprisonment. Accusation: Moharebeh through being a member of Komeleh – He has been in prison for 12 years now. He is semi-paralyzed and suffering from many diseases due to the tortures during his interrogation and imprisonment. He is now in a serious physical condition and his weight has reached 35 kilos.
Political prisoner Lughman Aminpour two and a half months of solitary cell
Political prisoner Lughman Aminpour – Date of last arrest: 13 June 2020 . Amount of sentence: 10 years – Accusation: Propaganda against the system, community and collusion against the system. And membership in the People’s Mujahideen – Lughman Aminpour after the fire and brutal beating of Evin prison transferred to Ward 241 of Evin and interrogated. After two and a half months of solitary confinement and torture, in January 2022, he transferred to Gohardasht prison (Rajai Shahr). And a new case opened against him.
Political prisoner Saman Yassin (Sayedi) is one of the detainees of the national protests of 2022 . Date of arrest: October 2, 2022 – Accusation: “Fighting using weapons and shooting 3 bullets””.And “Assembly and collusion with the intention of committing a crime against the security of the country”. Despite more than 10 months of detention, Saman Yasin is still in limbo.
Mohammad Shafei, another political prisoner transferred from Gohardasht prison, has sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of corruption. It should be noted that in April 2022, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i, the head of the judiciary, ordered the closure of the prison and the transfer of Gohardasht prisoners to other prisons.
