Shoresh Morovati, who had already faced prosecution during the Saqez Prison riot, transferred to solitary confinement to execute death sentence.
According to the report of the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Monday, August 14, 2023. A prisoner accused of “Moharebeh, through armed robbery” was transferred to solitary confinement to execute the death sentence.
In 2009, Shoresh Morovati was arrested and charged with “murder during an armed robbery” and sentenced to death. According to reports, with the consent of the victim’s family, his death sentence was supposed to be canceled. But the judiciary intends to execute him.
Shoresh Morovati After the riotand protests in Saqez prison in April 2020. Which led to the escape of a number of prisoners, he was severely tortured by intelligence interrogators. He was told that a case has been filed against him and his death sentence will be executed.
He escaped during April 2020 riot. But he was arrested again. After any tortures, he was transferred to Sanandaj prison.

It should be noted that on the evening of Friday, March 27, 2020, the prisoners of Saqez prison in Kurdistan province rioted in a mass action and a large number of them managed to escape. A few days later, some of these prisoners were arrested and tortured.
After this issue, Kurdish political prisoner Mustafa Salimi was executed in Saqez Central Prison after 17 years of imprisonment without a day off.
