Sixth week of the hunger strike by protesting prisoners on the anti-execution’s Tuesdays
Political prisoners in the sixth week of their hunger strike in Iranian prisons protest against widespread executions. According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Monday, February 3, 2024. The hunger strike of the prisoners in the sixth week of the anti-execution’s Tuesday continues.
Some prisoners have announced that on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, The sixth week of the anti-execution’s Tuesday hunger strike will take place in Evin Prison (wards 4 and women’s ward), Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, GhezelHesar, Khorramabad, Karaj, and other prisons.
The regime, which suffered a defeat in the election show, is retaliating by resuming a new wave of executions. Therefore, this hunger strike is a call to prevent these executions. Prisoners across the country invited to join this hunger strike, and independent media urged to support these protests.
It should be noted that in GhezelHesar prison and other prisons, thousands of prisoners waiting for the execution of their sentences. And nearly 50 political prisoners with names like Khusro Besharat, Kamran Sheikh, Anwar Khezri, Mojahed Kurkuri, Reza Rasaei, Mansour Dehmordeh, Fazel Bahramian, Mehran Bahramian, Mohammad Javad Vafaei Sani, and Abbas Deris are also at risk of execution.
Few days ago four Baloch prisoners sentenced to death
A few days ago, four Baluch prisoners Eidoo Shahbakhsh, Abdul Ghani Shahbakhsh, Abdul Rahim Ganbarzehi Gorgij, and Suleiman Shahbakhsh also sentenced to death in GhezelHesar prison.
In addition, the judiciary of the Supreme Leader is issuing death sentences against political prisoners. It can be mentioned that the death sentence issued against Shahab Nadali in Evin prison and Mamosta Mohammad Khezrnejad in Bukan prison.
Since last Wednesday, February 26, 2024, political prisoners in GhezelHesar prison in Karaj announced that they are on a hunger strike every Tuesday in protest against widespread executions in this prison and other prisons. Now political prisoners in other prisons have also declared a hunger strike in solidarity with them.
