According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on the morning of Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at least seven prisoners were executed in Gohardasht and Minab prisons. Five prisoners from Gohardasht prison executed on charges of murder, and two prisoners from Minab prison were executed on charges related to drugs.
According to Haalvash’s report, the names of the Baloch prisoners executed in Minab prison were Lal Mohammad Shirzaei Brahui and Hassan Zarei from Bandar Abbas.

Lal Mohammad Shirzaei Brahui was born in 1980, married, with two young children. He, who was the breadwinner of the family, arrested in Minab city in 2020.
Minab Revolutionary Court sentenced him to death after a year on charges related to drugs.
The five prisoners of Gohardasht prison were all accused of murder. The identity of the executed not known.

Since the beginning of the Iranian year 1402, at least 25 prisoners executed in Iranian prisons. What is visible in these statistics is the execution of many Baloch prisoners. During the last four days, at least 14 Baloch prisoners executed in Zahedan, Iranshahr and Minab prisons.
The human rights community condemns the execution of Baloch citizens on drug-related charges, who generally suffer from poverty and unemployment.
