A Kurdish prisoner from Kohdasht executed in Khorramabad prison
Iran Human Rights Center, Saturday, August 27, 2022. A prisoner named Omid Ali Garavand executed in Khorramabad prison on charges of murder.
According to Hengaw report, Omid Ali Gravand from Sartarhan village of Kohdasht and arrested two years ago on charges of intentional murder of a man and sentenced to death by judicial system.
It is worth mentioning that based on the reports obtained, Judicial authorities put the implementation of execution cases on their agenda as a matter of urgency. In a report on Wednesday, July 27, Amnesty International warned about terrible wave of executions in Iran. And called for an end to the executions.
Iranian Human Rights Center has condemned the implementation of illegal death sentences. And calls for intervention of international organizations to stop crimes in Iran.
Including the execution of this prisoner, number of executions reached at least 393 people since the beginning of 2022.
