Three prisoners executed in Zabol and Tehran. Two prisoners executed in Zabol on drug charges ,one prisoner in Tehran on rape charges.
Iranian Human Rights Center, at dawn on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Two prisoners named Gholamreza Kazemi and Reza Zahmati executed in Zabol prison on drug-related charges.
According to Haalvsh current report, Gholamreza Kazemi was about 44 years old, married with a child, a resident of Zabol . And Reza Zahmati, 35 years old, married with a child, a resident of Zabol.
In this report, quoting an informed source, it is stated. “These two prisoners arrested in a joint case in 2018 on drug charges in Zabol. And they were sentenced to death by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of this city headed by Judge Ehsan Babaei Tabrizi.
On Thursday, August 25, these prisoners transferred to solitary cell of Zabol prison for execution.

On the other hand, on Friday, August 26, 2022, Rokna website reported that a prisoner was executed in Tehran on charges of rape. This report does not mention the identity, date or exact place of execution of this prisoner.
According to the received reports, the judicial authorities have put executions on their agenda as a matter of urgency. In a report on Wednesday, July 27, Amnesty International warned about the terrible wave of executions in Iran and called for an end to the executions.
Including the execution of these three prisoners, the number of executions reached at least 396 people since the beginning of 2022.
