According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Friday, March 24, 2023. On the first protest Friday of new Iranian year 1402, people of Zahedan came to the streets after the Friday praying in Makki Mosque. This is the 25th Friday after the bloody Friday of Zahedan, when the people of Zahedan came to the streets and shouted anti-government slogans.
People were chanting: “My martyred brother, I will take your blood back”, “Death to Sepahi – Death to Basiji”. “Monarchy, Velayat al-Faqih, one hundred years of crime” “I will kill the one who killed my brother”. “Death to the oppressor, whether is a king or a leader”.

Also, in Makki Mosque, people raised placards demanding the release of political prisoners and against poverty and corruption.
On Friday, September 30, 2022, on the 14th day of the national uprising of the Iranian people, military and security forces in Zahedan city killed and injured dozens of people by shooting directly at the protesting citizens and worshippers. The protesting people shouted “Allah Akbar” and threw stones and countered with war bullets. On this day, a large number of Zahedan people, including children and women, killed and wounded.
On that bloody day, more than a hundred people from Zahedan killed, and some of wounded died weeks later due to their injuries. After this bloody incident, the city of Zahedan witnesses anti-government demonstrations every Friday.
