According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, April 6, 2023. From the last days of last year until today, at least one female prisoner and four male prisoners were executed in Adel Abad Shiraz and Dastgerd prisons in Isfahan.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, three men were executed in Adel Abad prison in Shiraz on drug charges.
Youssef Jumeh Hosseini, Kazem Rasouli and Ali Hossein Sadeghzadeh were among the drug accused who were sentenced to death for this charge.
Yusuf Jumeh Hosseini was a citizen of Afghanistan and was in prison two years ago on charges related to drugs.
Kazem Rasouli and Ali Hossein Sadeghzadeh were also in prison for three years.

Also, in the last days of last year, on March 19, 2022. Two prisoners, including a woman, executed in Dastgerd prison in Isfahan.
Hassan Bahmani and Maryam Najjar were both accused of murder and were sentenced to death for this charge. Both prisoners were transferred from Najaf Abad prison to Dastgerd prison in Isfahan.
Maryam Najar was in prison three years ago for murdering her husband.
In Iranian year 1401, at least 701 prisoners were executed in Iran’s prisons. Among the executed prisoners, at least 19 women are seen. This is while the death sentence has been abolished in many countries of the world.
