Revealing the names and details of 89 interrogators, torturers and prison guards in Sepidar prison
Iranian Human Rights Society, in April 2023, publishes names and photos of 89 interrogators, prisoners and torturers of Sepidar prison in Ahvaz.
Iranian Human Rights Society is grateful to all those who cooperated with us in this work and provided information to this human rights society.
We are seeking to reveal the names and details of all those who engaged in torturing and abusing prisoners in Khamenei’s murderous prisons.
It is clear that these names and documents do not include all the prisoners and torturers. And only show a part of the reality of the prisons of the Islamic Republic.

location of Sepidar prison:
Sepidar prison is located in Ahvaz city, in Sepidar district of Ahvaz, on Ansar Boulevard, Sepidar 12th street.
Sepidar neighborhood or Shahid Rajaei alley is one of the areas of Ahvaz, which is located in the east of this city.
Ahvaz prison started working in 2009 and its area is 700 square meters.
In this prison, the basic rights of prisoners, especially women prisoners, not respected. The blankets delivered to the prisoners are very dirty and contaminated and unusable.
Jailed women:
Female prisoners who are sick not given any treatment or medication. Death in this prison is a normal and unimportant matter.
In the infirmary of the women’s prison, there is a cruel and hard-hearted person under the title of “doctor”. Who is called “Ms. Heydari” and is about 48 years old. This person, who is apparently a doctor but is actually a torturer. And does not care about the condition of sick prisoners and refuses to give them medicine. She also prevents sending sick women to hospitals outside the prison.
Women prisoners in Sepidar prison in Ahvaz are deprived of the most basic facilities and living conditions. Due to pollution and lack of sanitary facilities, the cells of this prison are full of lice, small insects, and cockroaches.
There is problems with sanitary sewer well.
Prisoner women are deprived of hot water for bathing. The water heaters are always broken and there is no action for repairs.
The situation of women political prisoners is even more difficult. Without observing the principle of separation of crimes, they are kept together with other prisoners with normal and dangerous crimes.
Nutritional status:
The amount of food for prisoners is very little and its quality is extremely low. Garbage is always seen in the food of the prisoners.
For dinner, prisoners are usually given soup (without meat) or boiled potatoes and eggs, soup and lentils.
These harsh and inhumane conditions leave irreparable damages on the body and soul of female prisoners.
Bloody suppression of prisoners in 2020:
We remind you that during the uprising of Sepidar prisoners that happened on March 30, 2020. And the reason for that was the protest against the spread of Corona and the death of prisoners in a polluted and closed environment. 16 prisoners killed by war bullets in this prison by the order of the prison head.
It is clear that due to the lack of access to accurate information and statistics, the actual number of dead must be more than this.
On April 1 and 2, 2020, the head of Sepidar prison mentioned the cause of death of these prisoners as “methadone consumption” after “theft of medical drugs”.
