Amin Zameni Mahawi, the missing son of a family who disappeared in the midst of the 2019 protests. Does anyone know about him?
Iranian Human Rights Society wrote on Thursday, August 3, 2023: Amin Zameni Mahavi is the missing son of an Ahwazi family. He disappeared during the nationwide demonstrations and protests of 2019, and his family has not been able to find any news or traces of him despite the passage of nearly three years. They are still looking for their child. This family requests the compatriots to inform them if they have any news or traces.
According to an informed source, Amin Zameni Mahavi left the house on November 17, 2019. He did not have a phone with him, nor a national card.
His family searched a lot. But they found no trace of him. Finally, they suspected that their child might have been arrested during the protests.
After going to the justice department, one of the justice employees informed them that their son was in custody and asked them to bring bail to release him.
The same officer then checked Amin’s national card and assured the family that their child was in custody and will be released after providing bail.
But after this family went to Shiban prison in Ahvaz, they faced with a negative answer from the prison authorities.
“They knocked on every door,” the source added. But each of the judicial and security authorities passed them to each other. The court gave a pass to the prison, the prison to the IRGC. They gave contradictory answers. Some said that he is in the IRGC prison and others denied it.
Now, after nearly three years since Amin Zameni Mahawi’s disappearance, there is still no sign or news about him. This family still hasn’t lost hope and is looking for a trace of their child.
Amin Zameni Mahawi, son of Abdul Hossein, born on July 27, 1999, born, and living in Ahvaz, with a diploma education, is the missing boy in the midst of the protests of 2019.
