Transferring the detainees of nationwide protests to Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj
The detainees of nationwide protests, including Mohammad Broghni and the detainees of Ekbatan, transferred from Gohardasht prison to Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, August 3, 2023. In line with the evacuation of Gohardasht prison, the detainees of the national protests imprisoned in this prison, including Mohammad Broghni and eight of the accused prisoners in the Ekbatan case, transferred to Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj. These detainees are all undecided and accused of corruption on earth (Moharebeh).
His transfer done on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Mohammad Broghni, Milad Armon, Alireza Kafaei, Amir Mohammad Khosh Iqbal, Alireza Bermarz Pournak, Seyed Mohammad Mehdi Hosseini, Hossein Neamati, Mehdi Imani and Navid Najaran transferred to Ghezel Hesar hall 3.
Bad condition of Qezal Hesar prison
According to the news, the new place has no air conditioning system and no cooling. Prisoners are densely confined in a closed space with intense and suffocating heat.
These halls have non-standard conditions and have a very small air intake, the roof of which is fenced.
Small rooms of 6 meters, bathrooms do not have shower or hot water. There is no place to wash dishes and dishes washed in the bathroom.
Mohammad Broghni, born in 2003, arrested in Pakdasht during the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people in 2022.
On October 29, 2022, Judge Salavati sentenced him to death and death on the charge of “setting fire to the Pakdasht governorate and attacking a government official.” Then his death sentence confirmed by the Supreme Court. His death sentence overturned and sent to the same branch by the Supreme Court.
Milad Armon, along with 7 others, arrested in the 2022 nationwide protests in Ekbatan town. He accused by the Revolutionary Court of participating in the murder of a Basij and Moharebeh.
