Iranian Human Rights Society. Amnesty International, issued a statement on Thursday, September 29, 2022, calling for an immediate investigation into killing of protesters in Iran.

Agnès Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International, asked all the people of the world to sign a petition to force their leaders to take decisive action.

He said: “An independent investigation and audit mechanism should be established by the United Nations Human Rights Council. And for most serious crimes committed by Iranian authorities based on international laws, a decision should be made.”

Agnès Callamard said: “Iranian people deserve more than empty words. “The systemic impunity crisis that has long prevailed in this country must end, and it must end now.”

Secretary-General of Amnesty International, said in response to increasingly brutal crackdown under guise deliberate disruption of internet and mobile phones.
“Amnesty International’s ongoing investigations into suppression of popular protests in Iran.Have revealed widespread patterns of unlawful use of force and brutal violence by security forces.

These include the use of war ammunition, shotguns and other metal bullets, severe beating of protesters. And gender-based violence includes sexual violence against women.”

Another part of Amnesty International’s urgent action

“We see images of Iranian people from all over the country bravely standing up to the security forces, women cutting their hair and burning their headscarves. So far, dozens of people, including children, killed and hundreds of people injured. “Voice of brave Iranian people who desperately cry out for international support should not ignored.”

Security forces in Iran illegally and deliberately fired live ammunition, shotgun shells, and other metal projectiles to violently suppress mostly peaceful protests. These protests started with the death of 22-year-old Mahsa (Gina) Amini on September 16. Mahsa arrested by Iran’s morality police “Gestht Irshad” for not complying discriminatory laws of mandatory hijab.
