Conflict of Death Penalty with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as a key international document, guarantees the fundamental rights of all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth, or other status.

Article 3 of this declaration clearly states: “Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.”
The death penalty, as the ultimate punishment, directly contradicts this article for the following reasons:
Right to Life: The right to life is a fundamental, non-derogable right. Capital punishment violates this right.
Irreversibility: Once a death sentence is carried out, any judicial error is irreversible.
Torture and Inhuman Treatment: Some execution methods are considered torture or inhumane treatment, which contradicts the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
