Five prisoners executed in Neishabour, Zanjan, Qom and Zahedan prisons in recent days
Iranian Human Rights Society, October 18, 2022. Five prisoners executed on October 15, 13 and September 28 in Neishabour, Zanjan, Qom and Zahedan prisons. They accused of murder and drug possession.
Names of these prisoners are Reza Qaralow, accused of murder in Neishabur prison. Ali Mohammad Saeedi and Sadegh Afkandeh, accused of murder and drugs in Zanjan prison. And Amir Jahangiri accused of narcotics in Qom prison. And Morteza Brahui accused of murder in Zahedan prison.
Execution of a prisoner in Neishabur
At dawn on Saturday, October 15th, a prisoner named Reza Qarelu executed in Neyshabur prison on charge of murder.
Iran Human Rights Organization wrote about the execution of this prison. About three years ago, Reza Gharelou arrested on the charge of killing one of his friends and sentenced to revenge.
Execution of two prisoners in Zanjan (Five prisoners executed)
At dawn on Thursday, October 13. Two prisoners named Ali Mohammad Saeedi and 43-year-old Sadegh Afkendeh executed in Zanjan Central Prison. The first is accused of murder and second accused of drugs.
It is mentioned in report of Human Rights Organization regarding execution of these two prisons. “Sadegh Efkendeh arrested about four years ago on charges of drug possession and was in Zanjan Central Prison until his execution.”
Execution of a prisoner in Qom prison
At dawn on Saturday, October 15th, execution of a 42-year-old prisoner named Amir Jahangiri on drug charges carried out in Qom prison.
An informed source is quoted in execution report of this prisoner. “Amir Jahangiri also arrested and sentenced to death for the same charge about three years ago. This prisoner executed from Ward 1 of Qom Central Prison.
Along with Amir Jahangiri, another prisoner named Hamed Dehghan Mangabadi also executed, report of his execution published earlier.
Execution of a Baloch prisoner in Zahedan Central Prison
According to HaalVash , on Wednesday, September 28, a Baloch prisoner named Morteza Brahui executed in Zahedan Central Prison on charges of murder.
Morteza imprisoned for the same charge several years ago and news of his execution published after two weeks.
Including execution of these five prisoners, number of executions reached at least 380 since beginning of Iranian year 1401. Also, the number of executions from the beginning of 2022 until now is at least 476 people.
