74th Week of the "No to Execution Tuesdays" Campaign Held in 47 Prisons Across Iran

In the 73rd week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign, we declared that war and execution are two sides of the same coin of state-sponsored killing and repression, warning that prisoners’ lives are at risk and the pace of executions may increase.

Iran Human Rights Society, Tuesday, June 24, 2025 – The 74th week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign was held in 47 prisons across the country. In a statement issued on the occasion of this week’s campaign, addressing the threat to prisoners’ lives and their forced transfers, it was stated:
“We express our deep concern about the situation of prisoners held in prisons, particularly in Evin Prison, and those sentenced to death, whose current conditions and destinations remain unknown. We strongly condemn the forced transfer of defenseless prisoners under repressive security measures and in a sudden manner.”

Continuation of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” Campaign in Its 74th Week Across 47 Prisons
In the 73rd week of the campaign, we stated that war and execution are two sides of the same coin of state-sponsored killing and repression, warning that prisoners’ lives are at risk and the pace of executions may increase. Despite the internet blackout imposed by the regime, according to published reports, our predictions unfortunately proved correct.

We express our deep concern about the situation of prisoners held in prisons, particularly in Evin Prison, and those sentenced to death, whose current conditions and destinations remain unknown. We strongly condemn the forced transfer of defenseless prisoners under repressive security measures and in a sudden manner.

Given the war-like conditions, prisoners’ lives are in serious danger. We call on the dear and honorable people to demand the release of prisoners by any means
