Political prisoner Akbar Bagheri’s condition worsened in Gohardasht prison due to non-delivery of medicine
Political prisoner Akbar Bagheri is in critical physical condition in Gohardasht prison. Because they don’t give him the medicine he needs.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, December 27, 2022. Akbar Bagheri, a political prisoner in Gohardasht prison, is in severe pain and in dire physical condition in ward 10 of Gohardasht prison. He has not been given the medicines he needs, and his physical condition is deteriorating.
Political prisoner Akbar Bagheri is suffering from digestive diseases, liver and other problems in Gohardasht prison. Political prisoner Akbar Bagheri was sent on medical leave on Monday, July 11, 2022, and was returned to Evin prison on Tuesday, August 30, despite the incompleteness of the treatment procedures.
On October 16, 2022, political prisoner Akbar Bagheri was transferred to Gohardasht prison along with a number of other political prisoners. That is, the day after the same night when the prison agents attacked Evin.
He is currently in Ward 10 of Gohardasht Prison in a condition where his diseases have relapsed. The density of prisoners in this ward is high and causes tension and recurrence of prisoners’ diseases. In addition, political prisoner Akbar Bagheri does not have medicine and he has not been given the medicine he needs.
Political prisoner Akbar Bagheri was attacked along with a large number of prisoners in Wards 7 and 8 on October 15, 2022, in Evin Prison. They were severely beaten by the prison guards and special forces.
Akbar Bagheri, a political prisoner, is one of the detainees of the gatherings in front of the parliament. Akbar Bagheri was arrested on February 21, 2018 in the protest gathering of looted people in front of the parliament. During the arrest, the security officers seized his mobile phone and used it as evidence of the crime.
After his arrest, Akbar Bagheri was transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison. He was tortured and interrogated for 48 days in the solitary cells of 209. He was transferred to ward 4 of Evin prison in April 2018.
