Naib Askari, a political prisoner sentenced to death, transferred to solitary confinement in Urmia Central Prison
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, March 28, 2024, Naib Askari, a political prisoner sentenced to death, transferred to solitary confinement for an unknown reason. Due to his death sentence, his transfer to solitary confinement has caused concern about his condition.
In September, he sentenced to death for the second time. And this sentence officially communicated to him on Monday, October 16, 2023. The last court session of this political prisoner held on September 27, 2023, without having the right to a lawyer on his behalf.
On Saturday, April 15, 2023. Naib Askari sentenced to death after trial in Branch 2 of the Urmia Revolutionary Court on the charge of Moharebeh. He accused of Moharebeh because of his membership in Pejak.
Naib Askari, from Urmia, arrested on March 24, 2021, and after three months of interrogation in the intelligence detention center, he transferred to Urmia central prison.
