Arrests in Langarud without transparency
The police commander of Langarud County also announced the arrest of two citizens in relation to the nationwide protests.

Arsalān Sobh Zāhedi stated that these individuals have been referred for “legal proceedings.” In this case as well, no reference has been made to the place of detention or the legal status of the detainees.
This method of informing is a recurring pattern in the recent wave of arrests.
Arrests in Karaj, Anzali, and Bam
Official media reported the arrest of eight people in the cities of Karaj, Anzali, and Bam. The police commander of Alborz Province claimed that the detainees played a role in setting fire to a police kiosk and the municipality building.

In Bandar Anzali, the arrest of two people was reported on charges of setting fire to a chain store. In Bam County, law enforcement announced the arrest of one individual described as a “leader.”
Arrest of 135 people in Parand by security institutions
Tasnim News Agency, quoting the public relations of Sepah Haidar Parand, reported that 135 people were arrested during the nationwide protests in this city.
In this statement, the detainees were accused of destroying public property. No independent information has been published about the manner of arrest or the status of these individuals. This widespread arrest is described as part of the nationwide wave of security measures.

Arrest of foreign nationals in Yazd Province
In another report, the arrest of 139 foreign nationals in Yazd Province was announced. The police commander of this province claimed that these individuals played a role in organizing the protests. These claims have been made without providing independent evidence. The legal status of these detainees remains unknown.
Arrest of hundreds of citizens by intelligence agencies
The Intelligence Administration of Yazd Province announced the arrest of 188 citizens in connection with the nationwide protests. In the statement of this institution, the detainees were introduced as “main activists.”At the same time, the Intelligence Administration of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari announced the arrest of more than 85 citizens. These institutions have also provided no details about the place of detention of the individuals.

Widespread arrests following the bloody suppression of nationwide protests
These arrests have taken place after the bloody suppression of the nationwide protests. During the days of the protests, numerous reports of direct shooting and deadly violence were published. After the streets calmed down, the wave of arrests continued with greater intensity. Observers say that widespread arrests are a tool to complete the suppression.
Concerns about the status of detainees

Families’ lack of information about the fate of the detainees has increased concerns. Lack of access to a lawyer and information about the charges has been reported. Nighttime arrests and unknown transfers have created psychological pressure. These conditions weaken the possibility of effective legal follow-up.
Human rights violations in widespread arrests following nationwide protests
The widespread arrest of citizens after the bloody suppression of nationwide protests, accompanied by families’ lack of information and lack of transparency, indicates a serious violation of fundamental rights. This method of arrest systematically undermines personal security and the right to a fair trial.

- Violation of Article 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights – the right to liberty and security of person: Arbitrary detention, without clear announcement of charges and without informing families.
- Violation of Article 14 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights – the right to a fair trial: Deprivation of detainees from effective access to a lawyer and a transparent judicial process.
- Violation of Article 10 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights – humane treatment of persons deprived of liberty: Lack of information, psychological pressure, and unknown conditions of detention of the detainees.
