“Political prisoner Sepehr Emam Jomeh severely injured in the thigh during the attack and shooting of innocent prisoners during the fire at Evin Prison in October 2022, and he still has fragments of the bullet in his body. According to the Iran Human Rights Society, on Thursday, August 15, 2024, political prisoner Sepehr Emam Jomeh, after enduring nearly 5 years of imprisonment, currently incarcerated in Ghezel Hesar Prison. He suffers from the effects of the bullet wounds inflicted during the Evin Prison fire and the shooting of ill prisoners by prison guards in October 2022.
Sepehr Emam Jomeh, a 33-year-old political prisoner, born in 1991, arrested in December 2019 and transferred to Evin Prison. He was later tried on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, in Tehran’s Branch 28 by Judge Moghiseh and sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of ‘connection with the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, assembly, and collusion against national security.’
According to a knowledgeable source, the Ministry of Intelligence fabricated two private plaintiffs against him in court, who, according to Sepehr himself, he did not even know.”
Injury During the Evin Prison Fire
According to a reliable source, political prisoner Sepehr Emam Jomeh severely injured in the thigh during the attack and shooting of innocent prisoners amid the Evin Prison fire in October 2022, and he still has bullet fragments in his body.

In the same year, Sepehr Emam Jomeh suffered a severe infection. The prison’s medical unit ordered his urgent transfer to a hospital for surgery on his thigh. However, prison authorities prevented his transfer to avoid taking responsibility for the shooting.
He continues to suffer from the effects of the bullet wound in his thigh, has not fully recovered, and the injury’s effects are still visible on his body.
In September 2023, Sepehr Emam Jomeh was transferred in a collective move of prisoners from Evin Prison to Ghezel Hesar Prison, where he is currently held in Unit 4.
