In a letter, Mrs. Sediqeh Maleki Fard informed about the beatings, preventing visits and calls of freedom-loving teacher and political prisoner Hashem Khastar in prison. Hashem Khastar, who is 70 years old, is in prison. Mrs. Maleki has not heard from her husband for more than a month.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, Sunday, January 29, 2023. Mrs. Sediqeh Maleki, the wife of political prisoner Hashem Khastar, called on freedom-loving and noble people of Iran in a letter.
She asked the people to be the voice of his husband who is in prison for 4 years without anycrime. Mrs. Maleki has not known about her husband for a month.
Since December 28, 2022, Hashem Khastar forbidden to meet and contact. And according to some reports, he was beaten by mercenaries who were sent to his prison.
At the age of 70, this freedom-loving teacher is imprisoned in Ward 6/1 of Vakil Abad Prison in Mashhad in harsh conditions.

In the name of God
Dear colleagues, dear friends and family, you are asking about my husband, Mr. Seyed Hashem Khastar, through the phone and virtual space. He is a representative of Iran’s freedom-loving teachers who, at the age of 70, has been in prison for four years without a day off. He has only met twice in person in Vakil Abad prison, I inform you:
On December 28, we learned that he and Dr. Kamal Jafari beaten and insulted by two murderers. These two murderers, who transferred from another ward to ward 1/6, are introduced as lawyers andsecurity officer.
I went to the prison and the Revolutionary Court many times to follow up on the truth of the issue. Finally, Mr. Tabatabai, the judge overseeing the prison, said: “Your wife’s case is under the direct supervision of the prosecutor.” I went to the prosecutor, and they said they will investigate. I went the next day, and they said Mr. Khastar is healthy and has no problems and is not in solitary cell. He is only forbidden to meet and call for 15 days.

In addition, Mr. Prosecutor had ordered to remove those three murderers from section 1/6. According to the prosecutor, my husband should have call on January 1st, but unfortunately he didn’t call, I followed up again and they said that his phone ban has extended.
I went to the prison, and they said that the phone ban extended by Mr. Prosecutor. They said that if it has extended, we cannot do anything. Now I am worried that it is true that his arms and legs broken after massacre.
Sunday, January 29, I don’t know about my husbund’s status for more than a month.
