One prisoner was executed in Zahedan Central Prison and another Baloch prisoner was transferred from Kerman Prison to execute the death sentence.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Saturday, June 17, 2023, with the execution of another Baloch prisoner in Zahedan Central Prison, the number of executions this month reached 69.
This prisoner’s name was Mahmoud Rakhshani. He, who was 27 years old and single, was executed on drug-related charges. Mahmoud Rakhshani was arrested on this charge in 2018 and sentenced to death.
Another prisoner named Fazl Ahmad Ghafran (Rukhshani) was transferred from Kerman prison to solitary confinement to execute the death sentence.
According to Hale Vash, Fazal Ahmad Ghafran (Rukhshani) is 35 years old, married and has two children. He was Baloch and was arrested and sentenced to death in 2019 in relation to drug charges.
The family of this prisoner was called to the prison for the last meeting with their loved one.
