According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, security forces have carried out widespread arrests of young people and residents of Zahedan as the anniversary of the bloody Friday approaches. The government’s leaders, fearing protests on the anniversary of the bloody Friday, have stationed security forces throughout the province’s cities.
These forces are trying to instill fear and terror among the people through extensive arrests. In an illegal act on September 19, 2023, security forces raided the Karimabad area of Zahedan by using plainclothes agents.
