Four prisoners executed in Isfahan Central Prison and two prisoners without birth certificates transferred to Zahedan Prison to execute the death sentence
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Four prisoners, one of whom was a Baloch prisoner, executed in Isfahan Central Prison on drug-related charges.
On the same day, two more prisoners transferred to solitary confinement in Isfahan Central Prison to carry out the death sentence.
Executions in Isfahan Central Prison
According to HaalVash, the name of the Baloch prisoner is Ebrahim Naroui, 42 years old, from Sistan and Baluchistan and a resident of Golestan province. In 2019, he arrested and sentenced to death in Nayin, Isfahan, in connection with drugs. He transferred to solitary confinement on Wednesday, November 1st to execute the sentence.
The other three prisoners were from Tehran, Rasht and Isfahan. There is no information about the names and details of these three prisoners.
Zahedan Central Prison
In this prison, on November 2, two brothers named Saeed Ali Zahi, 25 years old, and Ismail Ali Zahi, 29 years old, who are both construction workers and from Zabul, transferred to carry out the death sentence. These two Baloch prisoners transferred from Zabul prison to Zahedan Central Prison to execute the sentence.
Why is there execution in Iran?
Historically, execution has been a tool of power and dictatorship to intimidate and subdue people.
