Iranian Human Rights Society, Sunday, September 4, 2022. At least 18 prisoners, including three in Karaj Central Prison, 7 in Minab Prison and 8 in Gohardasht were transferred to solitary cell to carry out death sentence.

An informed source told the Iranian Human Rights Society: At 12 noon on Sunday, September 4, three prisoners named Shahram Kakavand born in 1368 from Hersin and Peyman Soleimani from Kohdasht, about 45 years old, from room 3 and Azizyar Hashemi from room 4. They transferred to the solitary cell of Karaj Central Prison.
All three prisoners sentenced to death on charges of drugs and without having a record.
It should be noted that there are a large number of prisoners under death sentence in central prisons of Karaj and Ghezel Hesar prison.
100 people are sentenced to death
It is believed that according to the received news, the speed of execution of death sentences will be accelerated.
Karaj Central Prison has ten halls where at least 100 people are sentenced to death in each hall. This means that a thousand people are sentenced to death in this prison.
On the other hand, according to the current report, at least seven prisoners in Minab prison transferred to solitary cells to carry out death sentence.
Names of prisoners on the execution list
The names of these prisoners are: “Abdul Ghafoor Naravi (Karmozhi), married with one child from Bampur, Iranshahr. Suleiman Naravi (Karmozhi), married with one child from Bampur, Iranshahr. (unknown name) Bahadurzahi Rigi, married with two wives and child from Zahedan. Haji Zubiriger Malek Married and with a child from Minab. Mohammad Kazemi from Jahrom, Milad Fan from Golestan province and Mohammad Reza Kafiri from Mashhad province.
These prisoners previously sentenced to death by judicial authorities due to drug-related charges. Today they transferred to solitary cells of Minab prison for execution.
In another report, Harana announced the transfer of 8 prisoners to be executed in Rajaee Shahr prison.
The human rights society of Iran has warned about the conditions of the prisons, especially central prisons of Karaj, Ghezel Hesar prison. And Rajaei-Shahr Prison and demands serious and immediate action to stop the executions.
