May the birth of Jesus Christ, the prophet of justice, peace and friendship and the riser against oppressors, be honored to all countrymen, especially the Christians of Iran.
Jesus Christ is reminiscent of enlightened cries against the hypocritical Pharisees who used religion as a means of looting and oppressing people.
He entered the field of life in a situation where the Jewish mullahs, like today in their religious shops, were the cause of the degeneration of society and human thoughts. Usury, humiliation of women, amassing wealth and selling religion were some of the hidden values in that society.
The enlightening cries of Jesus Christ targeted the system of hypocrites who used religion as a means of oppressing and robbing people. He always shouted that: “Avoid those who devour the houses of widows and perform long hypocritical prayers.”
The fight against religious fundamentalism
The battle with religious fundamentalism is a hard battle that requires maximum sacrifice, so he always reminded his friends of this point:
“Whoever loves his parents more than me is not worthy of me. Also whoever does not take up his cross and does not follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever thinks only of his life will lose it. But whoever loses his life for my sake, his life will be safe.
Suppression of Christians in Iran
After more than 20 centuries have passed since the birth of Jesus Christ, now in Iran, we are witnessing a deep war between the people and their freedom-seeking strongholds with the government leaders, which is evident in the hypocrisy, deception and abuse of the religious beliefs of the people.
The repressive actions of the leaders and government officials towards Christians have been going on for more than 4 decades. Because of these actions, our country is among the top 10 anti-Christian countries in the world. According to the constitution of Velayat al-Faqih, Christians, Armenians and Assyrians considered religious minorities and second class citizens.
Christian converts in Iran always considered criminals
By order of the rulers, Christian leaders in Iran are considered criminals, and Iranian citizens who are Christians hold their gatherings in fear of attacks and harassment by security forces, holding their ceremonies in home and underground churches.
Christians not allowed to discuss their beliefs with others. Many Christians arrested and sentenced to long-term prison terms. They accused on charges such as espionage and activities against national security and interests.
The killing of Christian priests has continued during these years. The first crime against Christians happened only 8 days after the fall of the Shah. And priest Aristo Sayah killed by the government agents in Shiraz.
The murder of Christian leaders such as Bishop Hospian Mehr, Bishop Mikailian. And also Pastor Hossein Soodmand, Pastor Mehdi Dibaj, etc. It iss one of the crimes that have a special place in the case of violating the human rights of the heads of the Iranian government.
Today, repression and crimes committed by government leaders not limited to Christians or other religions. The general population of Iran, men and women, workers and farmers, laborers, workers, working children, etc. All of them are victims of the repressive policies of the government headed by Khamenei.
But the people of Iran, by standing up against oppression and looting, prisons and also executions, are looking for a tomorrow where citizens of every religion, culture, color and race can live in freedom, equality, justice, prosperity and comfort.
