Vahid Bani Amariyan, Puya GHobadi, Akbar Daneshfar, Babak Alipour, Abolhasan Montazer and Seyed Mohammad Taghvi are 6 political prisoners who imprisoned in different wards of Evin prison for rebellion.
These 6 political prisoners charged with membership and cooperation with the People’s Mujahideen, the community and collusion against the country’s security, in the fifth branch of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of Tehran, headed by investigator Alizadeh, on the 14th of May 2024.
According to Iran Human Rights Society, on Saturday 8June 2024, six political prisoners accused of rebellion still imprisoned in Evin prison. Vahid Bani Amariyan, Puya Ghobadi, Akbar Daneshfar, Babak Alipour, Abolhasan Montazer and Seyed Mohammad Taghvi are 6 political prisoners who are imprisoned in different wards of Evin prison for rebellion.
These 6 political prisoners were charged with membership and cooperation with the People’s Mojahedin. And collusion against the security of country in the fifth branch of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of Tehran. This is headed by investigator Alizadeh, on 14 May 2024. This is a serious charge that carries the risk of issuing a death sentence or heavy sentences against political prisoners.
Babak Alipur Transferd to quarantine section 4
He transferred to the quarantine Ward 4 on May 21, 2024, along with 4 other political prisoners, Vahid Bani Amerian. Abolhassan Montazer. Puya Ghobadi and Seyed Mohammad Taghavi from Ward 209 of Evin to Ward 4 of this prison.

Political prisoner Babak Alipour arrested and convicted before. He arrested along with his brother Rouzbeh Alipour on November 4, 2018, in the his market of Rasht. Babak Alipour sentenced to 7 years in prison by the 1st Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Rasht on charges of “membership in the People’s Mujahideen and insulting the leadership”. Babak Alipour released from Evin prison in 2023 after serving 2 years of his sentence.
Arrest and beating of political prisoner Vahid Bani Amiryan
On December 22, 2023, political prisoner Vahid Bani Amiryan arrested and beaten by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and transferred to Evin prison and Ward 209 of Evin. He is a graduate of Khaja Nasir University of Technology in Tehran and has a master’s degree in management. He previously imprisoned in Evin and Gohardasht prisons for more than 2 years, suffering from irritable bowel syndrome, weak immune system and severe respiratory tract infection.

Political prisoner Seyed Mohammad Tahgvi also arrested in March 2023 and transferred to Evin Ward 209. He also had a record of arrest in 2020 and imprisoned for about 3 years in Evin prison on charges of support and association with the People’s Mojahedin. He released from prison in February 2022.
Political prisoner Abul Hasan Mantazez arrested on December 22, 2023.
65-year-old Abolhassan Mantazer. One of the political prisoners of the 1960s, previously arrested by the security forces in Tehran in 2018. Finally, he sentenced to 5 years in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Tehran. Political prisoner Seyed Mohammad Taghvi, 57 years old, is one of the political prisoners of the 60s. He has a bachelor’s degree in graphics from Tehran University and has a history of prison and political conviction.
Poya Ghobadi, a political prisoner from Songhur city in Kermanshah province and a graduate of electrical engineering from Sanandaj University, also arrested by the security forces in Tehran in May 2018 and sentenced to 18 years in prison and exiled to Nikshahr in Sistan province in 2 separate cases by the Tehran Revolutionary Court.
