Yalda Emamdost was once again arrested by security forces in Isfahan in August 1404 and transferred to an unknown location.

An Athlete Tied to Prison and Interrogation

Yalda Emamdost, Iranian endurance runner, vanished after August 2025 arrest. Family fears torture amid enforced disappearance.

Iran Human Rights Society, Monday, November 24, 2025 – Security forces arrested Yalda Emamdost in Isfahan on August 23, 2025, without a warrant or explanation. They whisked her to an unknown spot. Now, four months later, silence grips her case. As a top endurance runner, former prisoner, and mom of two, she inspires many. Yet, officials refuse to reveal her location or status. This enforced disappearance sparks outrage. Her family and fans worry deeply.

An Athlete Bound by Prison and Probes

Yalda Emamdost

Yalda Emamdost entered the world in 1975 in Ilam. She now lives in Isfahan. Over two decades, she shines as a key endurance runner there. She competes in provincial races. She grabs multiple wins. Plus, she coaches women in sports. However, her bold stand against injustice changes everything. In recent years, she faces repeated arrests for her activism.

Those near her praise her impact. She motivates female athletes everywhere. As a self-made mom, runner, and fighter for rights, she stands tall. Therefore, her story touches hearts across Iran.

A Trail of Arrests and Harsh Verdicts

Yalda Emamdost first clashed with authorities in 2019. She wrote protest slogans on walls. Security grabbed her then. She spent months behind bars before release. But trouble returned fast. In June 2020, they arrested her again. She endured two months in solitary at Dolat Abad Prison in Isfahan.

Later, officials moved her to Dastgerd Prison’s women’s wing. The Revolutionary Court hit hard. They gave her 10 years in ta’zir prison. Charges? “Assembly and collusion” plus “propaganda against the regime.” Her family rejects this. Human rights groups agree. They say no solid proof backs the claims. Instead, her protests alone trigger the sentences. Consequently, she serves time for speaking out.

Revelations of Torment and Betrayal at Home

Reports paint a grim picture from her 2020 detention. Guards subjected Yalda Emamdost to beatings and mind games. They blocked family visits for months. No phone calls either. Interrogators pushed relentlessly. Worse, whispers point to her husband. Linked to intelligence, he allegedly tipped off forces. He helped track and turn her in.

This betrayal stings deep. Women’s rights advocates rage. Victims of systemic abuse grieve too. As a result, her tale explodes on social media. It draws global eyes to Iran’s shadows.

Fresh Grab and Total Vanishing Act

Ignorance of Yalda Imam Doost

Fast forward to August 2025. No warrant flashes. Security swoops in on Yalda Emamdost in Isfahan once more. No summons arrives. They haul her off to parts unknown. No reason given.

Her loved ones scramble. They check prisons, hit detention centers, beg officials. Four months pass. Answers? Zero. Courts block the case file. Lawyers stay out. Even health updates vanish. One insider shares the family’s dread: “We don’t know if Yalda Emamdost lives.” This void terrifies all.

Mute Response Fuels Health Alarms

Emamdost has a history of physical problems stemming from her previous detention period. Prolonged deprivation of contact, visits, medical services, and information has increased the likelihood of physical harm, torture, or solitary confinement.

Rights Breaches in Yalda Emamdost’s Ordeal

This saga screams violations. Silence reigns. Arrest skips legal steps. Torture hints emerge. Family ties sever. Each act defies core rights.

  • Consider Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It promises life, freedom, and safety. Secret grabs shatter that.
  • Article 5 bans torture. It rejects cruel acts. Yet, reports suggest she endures them.
  • Article 9 forbids random arrests. Detention without cause? Exile? All outlawed. Her case fits none.
  • Article 10 demands fair trials. An impartial court must hear cases openly. She gets none.
  • Article 12 guards privacy. Cutting family info invades that space. It meddles without cause.

These breaches demand scrutiny. They expose systemic flaws.

A Case Without End

Yalda Emamdost’s mystery ranks among Iran’s darkest lately. Ambiguity clouds her path. Worry grips the public. Her kin leads the cry. They seek one truth: Reveal her jail spot. Share her health. Disclose her fate. Now.
