We, members of the “Tuesdays No to Execution” campaign, warn against any heavy sentences against those arrested in the recent protests, as well as against their harassment, torture, and killing.
Iran Human Rights Society, Tuesday, January 27, 2026 – On the eve of the third year of the “Tuesdays No to Execution” campaign, members of this campaign issued a statement expressing solidarity and sympathy with the families of those who lost their lives on the path to freedom, while expressing their anger and disgust at the dictatorship ruling Iran. This statement, published in the repressive and closed environment of Iran’s prisons, echoes the ongoing resistance against execution, torture, and systematic repression.
In part of the statement for the 105th week of the “Tuesdays No to Execution” campaign, it states:

“We send thousands of greetings to the martyrs of the December 2025–January 2026 uprising, who shook the foundations of the fascist regime, and with greetings to the heroic people of Iran who, in this nationwide uprising, added another golden page to the history of the Iranian people’s struggles for freedom and so terrified the government that it resorted to savage massacres, revealing its most blatant fascist nature both in Iran and worldwide.”
Warning about the massacre of those arrested and injured in the nationwide protests of 2025–2026
Members of the “Tuesdays No to Execution” campaign, who continue their activities under the harshest security conditions, torture, pressure, and deprivation of basic human rights, have warned in the continuation of this statement about the alarming situation of those arrested in the recent protests. By publishing reports from inside prisons—especially regarding the unknown fate of detainees, the critical physical condition of the injured, and the regime’s secretive methods of transferring bodies to unknown morgues—they have exposed part of the dimensions of the regime’s crimes.

In another section of the statement, it reads:
“Therefore, we, members of the ‘Tuesdays No to Execution’ campaign, warn against any heavy sentences against those arrested in the recent protests, as well as against their harassment, torture, and killing. Warning and warning again! Given the lack of official announcement of the names of the killed, arrested, and injured, it is said that the regime intends to kill many of the detainees and wounded and transfer them to morgues such as Kahrizak and others, then declare them as street fatalities.”
A historical document of prisoners’ steadfastness and resistance
This statement is a historical document of the steadfastness and resistance of prisoners whose voices still ring loud and clear from behind the closed prison walls; a voice that, coinciding with the start of the third year of this movement, reminds the international community and public opinion that in Iran, execution is not merely a punishment but a tool for political revenge and organized repression.
