The people of Abdanan protested the killing of Bamshad Suleimankhani and the arrest of youths in this city.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Thursday, June 1, 2023, the people of Abdanan protested the murder of a young man from Abdanan, Bamshad Suleimankhani, and the arrest of two young people from this city, Mohammad Daniali and Naser Rezaei.
On the morning of Thursday, June 1, 2023, according to the previous call, the businessmen of Abdanan went on strike to protest the government killing of Bamshad Suleimankhani.
Also, on Thursday evening, the people of Abdanan started an anti-government demonstration with slogans of death to Khamenei and death to the dictator.
More than 50 anti-riot vehicles were present to deal with the youth of Abdanan. But the people took over the main street of the city.
According to published reports and videos, several vehicles of special forces destroyed and set on fire by people.
Police officers fired bullets and tear gas and a chase is going on in the streets of Abdanan city.
The sound of shooting can heard in the streets of the city and according to a report, a number of people injured and went to the hospitals.
It should be noted that on May 14, 2023. Bamshad Suleimankhani, a 21-year-old mechanical engineering student from Abdanan, returned home with a headache. In the middle of the night, he taken to the hospital in critical physical condition.
In the initial examination, it was found that his shoulder and two ribs broken, and there were injuries and wounds caused by burning his hand with a cigarette.
Bamshad Suleimankhani died in the hospital on May 28, 2023.
His family considered his death a murder by the government.

On Thursday, June 1, 2023, his commemoration ceremony held with the large presence of security forces and plainloths.
In this ceremony, Bamshad’s father declared the Iranian regime responsible for his son’s murder.
