40 prisoners were executed in 12 days. At least six prisoners were executed in Adelabad prisons in Shiraz, Kashan, and Isfahan.
In the last 12 days, at least 40 people were executed. This is while the executions are secret and not announced by the judicial and government media.
Six prisoners accused of drug-related crimes were executed in Adel Abad Shiraz, Kashan and Isfahan prisons.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on May 24th and June 1st. At least six prisoners sentenced to death executed in Adel Abad prisons in Shiraz, Kashan and Isfahan on drug-related charges.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Organization, on May 24, 2023. Two prisoners named Ali Mohammad Zarem and Ismail Nasiri were executed on drug charges.
These two prisoners were arrested together in a joint case and sentenced to death since 2020. One of them, Ali Mohammad Zareem, was the father of a small child.
On June 1, 2023, two prisoners named Rasul Sheikh Arpanahi and Nemat Arzani were executed in Kashan Central Prison.
Rasool Sheikh Arpanahi, 27 years old, and Nemat Arzani, 33 years old, were from Flowarjan and both were arrested in 2019 in connection with drugs.
On the other hand, on the same day, two prisoners named Aghil Arab, 27 years old, and another prisoner whose name is not known, were executed in Dastgerd prison in Isfahan.
Aghil Arab was arrested 5 years ago on charges related to drugs and was sentenced to death for the same charges.
