Ayoub Ghaibipour was sentenced to 15 years in prison in the appeals court.
According to the report of the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Sunday, May 21, 2023, Ayoub Ghaibipour, one of the detainees of nationwide protests in Ahvaz, was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
He previously sentenced to 35 years in prison in the first court, which was reduced to 15 years in the appeals court.
Ayoub Ghaibipour, born in 1994, a resident of Ahvaz. Arrested on November 13, 2022, when the security forces raided his father’s house, which was accompanied by violence and beatings.
In early May 2023, he was taken from Shiban prison in Ahvaz to the detention center and interrogated again. He went on a hunger strike in protest.
