Issuing and announcing the death sentence of Amir Hossein Mohammadi from the detainees Meshkin Dasht Karaj
The report of the Iranian Human Rights Society, December 8, 2022. The death sentence of Amir Hossein Mohammadi, one of the detainees of Meshkin Dasht Karaj, was delivered to him.
26-year-old Amirhossein Mohammadi, a resident of Mashkin Dasht Karaj, is a theater actor. On November 5, 2022, he was arrested at his home and taken to prison. He was beaten and tortured during his arrest and interrogation in prison.
On December 6, 2022, he was tried and sentenced to death by Judge Asif Hosseini in Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Karaj. He was accused in the court of participating in the murder of Ruhollah Ajamian on the day of the 40th anniversary of Hadith Najafi in Karaj.
On December 8, his death sentence was announced.
He is currently imprisoned in Karaj Central Prison (Karaj Penitentiary).
It should be noted that on December 6, Masoud Satayshi, the spokesman of the judiciary, announced the death sentence of 5 people accused of the murder of a Basij member (Ruhullah Ajamian).
It is worth mentioning that at dawn on Monday, December 12, the death sentence of Majid Reza Rahnavard Payan Deh was executed in public in Mashhad. Also, three prisoners have been executed in different prisons with murder and drug charges.
In addition, on Thursday, December 8, 2022; Mohsen Shekari, one of the detainees of the nationwide protests, was executed in public. He was accused of fighting by injuring a repressive force and blocking the street. This prisoner was executed in Gohardasht prison (Rajai Shahr).
We remind you that the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran accused the authorities of the Iranian government of launching a new campaign to execute prisoners.
