Political prisoner Hamid Kashani’s appeal to football and futsal referees: “Join nationwide strike”
In a message from Gohardasht prison, political prisoner Hamid Kashani supported the nationwide uprising of Iranian people. And called on the country’s football and futsal referees to join nationwide strike.
Iranian Human Rights Society, Thursday, September 29, 2022. In a message, political prisoner Hamid Haj Jafar Kashani supported demonstrations and uprising of Iranian people. And asked football and futsal referees to go on strike and support the nationwide uprising of the people.
Political prisoner Hamid Haj Jafar Kashani, a well-known Iranian futsal referee, wrote in a message from Gohardasht prison, a copy of which obtained by Iranian Human Rights Society:

“The nationwide uprising of people of Iran, which has been ongoing in 142 cities and 31 provinces. Has resulted in more than 180 martyrs and many arrests, and with the slogan of death to Khamenei and death to the Islamic Republic, the people’s determination to achieve Freedom embodied. This shows that the people of Iran are demanding the overthrow of this criminal and misogynistic regime by paying a price.
Myth of the power of repression apparatus has been invalidated and false awe of Khamenei’s mercenaries has collapsed.
In these days, when brave men and women have given up their lives. businesses from their daily income.students from studying science. and workers from a small daily wage, they have broken the fence of fear and greed and broken from their chains. I, in turn, I ask all honorable football and futsal referees of the country to join the strike and refuse to attend sports fields.

About Hamid Haj Jafar Kashani
Hamid Haj Jafar Kashani arrested by security forces in 2020 and transferred to Evin prison.
In January 2020, by the 26th branch of Tehran Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Iman Afshari.He sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison for charge of assembly and collusion and 8 months in prison. And also for charge of proselytizing against regime.
As an additional punishment.He sentenced to 2 years of exclusion from membership in political groups and 4 hours of forced labor for 2 months.
Mr. Haj Jafar Kashani also had a history of arrest and conviction. In the latest case, he arrested by the security forces in Qaemshahr in 2018.And sentenced to 3 years in prison by second branch of Sari Revolutionary Court on charges of “insulting Khamenei. And propagandizing against the regime”.
In Evin prison, he again faced with a new case of “spreading lies, insulting officials and propagandizing against system”.
Political prisoner Hamid Kashani transferred to Gohardasht prison on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
Hamid Haj Jafar Kashani, born in 1982, is a well-known Iranian futsal referee. After his release from prison in 2017, based on decision of Football Federation. He was banned from refereeing in Futsal Premier League.
