Mokhtar Alboshokeh Political Prisoner's Background and Imprisonment

Discover the latest on Mokhtar Alboshokeh political prisoner: fabricated cases, torture, and extended detention in Iran.

Iran Human Rights Society, Wednesday, August 27, 2025– Mokhtar Alboshokeh political prisoner endures harsh conditions in Iran’s prisons. Authorities extend his detention again in this fabricated case. Since March 2011, he serves a life sentence without leave. Now, security forces accuse him of contacting released prisoners. This sparks worries about his health and rights. Furthermore, his story exposes ongoing abuses. Read on to uncover details of his ordeal.

Mokhtar Alboshokeh starts his imprisonment in March 2011. He stays in Ahvaz prisons without any leave. First, officials hold him in Karun Prison. Later, they move him to Sheyban Central Prison. Courts sentence him to life on vague security charges. His family asks for medical help often. He suffers from a hernia. However, judges and security agents deny these requests every time.

Over the years, his condition worsens. Lack of care adds to his pain. Therefore, supporters highlight his plight. They demand fair treatment. Yet, authorities ignore these calls. This pattern shows systemic issues in Iran’s prisons.

New Fabricated Case Against Mokhtar Alboshokeh

Security agents open a new case in December 2024. They claim Mokhtar Alboshokeh contacts released political prisoners from Sheyban. On December 5, 2024, guards transfer him to Pava detention center. There, he faces intense torture.

Informed sources describe the abuse. Agents bind his hands and feet in a “rooster” position. Then, they beat him severely. His family sees bruises and injuries after his return. This treatment harms his body and mind.

Mokhtar Alboshokeh Details His Torture Experience

Mokhtar Alboshokeh writes a letter from prison. He shares his story. “I tell them about my severe hernia,” he says. “Please don’t hit me!” But an officer sneers. He says, “Even better!” The agent insults him. Then, he strikes Mokhtar’s lower abdomen hard.

Authorities push for forced confessions. They target him and another detainee. Their goal? Fabricate links between prisoners. This builds a stronger case. However, Mokhtar resists. He reveals these tactics in his letter.

Hunger Strike by Mokhtar Alboshokeh Political Prisoner

Mokhtar Alboshokeh starts a hunger strike. He protests the torture and pressures. His aim? Expose the truth. After nearly two weeks, officials return him to Sheyban on December 17, 2024.

Pressures continue, though. His hernia goes untreated. Prison staff block hospital visits. They keep him in tough conditions on purpose. As a result, his health declines fast. Human rights groups warn about this neglect.

Violations in Mokhtar Alboshokeh’s Detention Case

Authorities torture Mokhtar Alboshokeh at Pava. They use cruel methods. This breaks key principles. No one faces arbitrary arrest. Yet, officials extend his detention without fair trials. They repeat this in April 2025.

Guards treat him without dignity. Beatings humiliate him. Furthermore, they deny health care. Everyone deserves good physical and mental health. But officials ignore Mokhtar’s needs. These actions clash with global standards.

Family Concerns for Mokhtar Alboshokeh

Mokhtar’s family sends letters and makes calls. They demand quick action. “He stays in prison for years without leave,” they say. His body weakens. Instead of help, authorities add more torture.

Groups track these issues. They note case fabrications often. Torture extracts false statements. If this continues, prisoners like Mokhtar risk slow death. Therefore, families push for change.

Ongoing Challenges for Political Prisoners Like Mokhtar Alboshokeh

Mokhtar Alboshokeh’s story shows rights deprivations in Iran. New cases and extensions add to the burden. His untreated health raises survival fears. Experts call for global watch. Pressure from outside can stop these acts. Iran must honor its duties under world agreements.
